Yes, hi. I love the WildPF module, have been using it with almost every client site for one application or another. However, I'm having some strange difficulty allowing other non-admin user roles to edit instances of the WildPF. When logged in as admin, I have no issues editing items in the module, and everything works as it should. When logged in as any editor role I have created, the edit menu shows as it should, but when I try to "Maintain Items From List" (edit) or "Add New Item", the page just refreshes. Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone know a fix for this? Would be nice to remedy this As Soon As Possible--if anyone can be of help, that'd be great! I'm running DNN v04.05.03 and WildPortfolio v01.03.05. The site I'm having issues with is http://www.co.nobles.mn.us. Thanks! |

I resolved the issue (well, sort of). What I had been doing in the past was setting up all my WildPortfolio content via my admin account in the portal. When I pass the finished project off to the client, they have an editor role set up, which in all other modules we use, is sufficient to allow them to add/edit modules and content. Let’s say I have two editor users—Editor1 and Editor2—in the same editor security role. I was able to get to the point where Editor1 and Editor2 could add new items to the module. However, Editor1 and Editor2 could not edit items I created with the Admin account. Furthermore, Editor1 and Editor2 could not edit each other’s items. My solution (for the time being) is to work backwards. For items that I want Editor1 to have access to edit, I create them with the Editor1 account. The same for Editor2. I can still edit these items with my Admin account, and my clients can edit these items with Editor1 and Editor2. Just wanted to let you know that I have found a (somewhat) working solution. If you are able in the future to remedy this further so an Admin can pass items off to editor roles, I would be all for it! |

Add to this the desire to allow the assigned editor role to delete any images they have uploaded. The module currently suffers from a one-way publishing workflow in the same manner that the core blog has of late been downgraded to.
It's important that editors can manage 100% of their content. The image management screen would be a natural place to allow images to be deleted... as it already is for the admin role. |
