Add portfolio description section above the projects

We using WP for a restuarant site and wanted each section (e.g. Breakfast) to have a description above the list of menu items.

We tried using the built-in header that is available for all modules, but there is no support for formatted text and graphics. We did insert a graphic, but it overlapped the first project's description.

We also tried to use the first project as the description with the picture for that breakfast category, but since it is also a project, it appears the same as a menu item. We would like the menu items slightly indented under the heading.

A single text box editor would do. It would even support the graphic for the category. Or you could have the heading have it's own graphic link and have the same controls like you do when formatting an indvidual project.

Portrait/Landscape

Hi Bruce
I think it would be really useful to have a switch portrait/landscape (defaulting to landscape) so that when adding a new project you could accommodate the occasional portrait image among the landscape images (or vice versa). Just a thought for a future release?

Add item link instead of project

I know wildportfolio was orginally a portfolio display module, but as you have indicated it has been used for much, much more.

Instead of explaining to customers, who login to edit their list, why they need to click on the 'add project' link, how about changing it to 'add item'?

You know how easy it is for customers to get confused! Look at all of us!!!!

Increment Order

The only way of sorting the projects at present is by the sort order field (ascending or descending), which always defaults to 100. Would it be possible when adding a new project to default this field to, say, the last sort number entered + 10? This would make it easier to create a sensible order.

Publish start/stop dates

Will any of the future releases allow you to set publish start/stop dates on the projects?

This would be very useful for dating projects and removing stall content.

Hi Bruce,

It's your favorite :) user of Wild Portfolio.

Couple of things with the URL field.

If I try to put in an https: link, it bypasses the new window routine and open the link in the same browser.

The other thing I would REALLY like on the URL is alternate text. Right now it displayed the entire ugly link.

I put the whole 'A tage' code in myself so I could put the text in. However, two things happened. One, I had to add the new window target=_blank in. Also the field, because the https was to a shopping system and exact product, it was very long. The field cut itself off and I couldn't use it at all like that. I had to put everything if User Defined field 5, which is long enough for it. Of course, that bypasses the link tracking.
